Wallis manufactures custom logo NFC PVC cards with magnetic stripes for hotels, access control, membership programs, loyalty systems, corporate identification, campuses, events and other hybrid card projects. Each card combines an embedded contactless NFC or HF RFID chip with a swipe-readable magnetic stripe and customized front-and-back printing.
This hybrid construction helps organizations support both contactless readers and existing magnetic-stripe equipment during system upgrades. Final specifications depend on the selected NFC chip, antenna, magnetic-stripe type, encoding format, card reader, printer, card thickness and application. Wallis recommends approving a technical specification and physical sample before bulk production.
The embedded chip and antenna communicate with a compatible contactless reader when the card is tapped or placed within the supported reading range. Depending on the selected chip, the card may store a URL, identification number, membership record or system-specific application data.
The magnetic stripe stores encoded data that can be read when the card is swiped through a compatible reader. Stripe coercivity, track format, data structure and encoding method must be matched to the existing equipment.
Combining the two interfaces can support organizations that use newer contactless terminals alongside legacy swipe readers. The card should be tested on both systems because physical inclusion of two technologies does not guarantee software or data-format compatibility.
NFC and magnetic-stripe data can represent the same account number or different functions. For example, one interface may support room access while the other supports a legacy membership or attendance system. The relationship between both data sets should be defined before encoding.

Buyers should provide the required coercivity, stripe width, stripe color, position, track data and card orientation. “Magnetic stripe included” is not enough information for a production-ready specification.
NTAG213, NTAG215 and NTAG216 are commonly selected for NFC marketing, digital profiles, contact sharing and URL-based interaction. The models offer different memory capacities, so the encoded NDEF data size should be checked before chip selection.
Access, hotel, campus and membership systems may require a specific MIFARE, DESFire, ICODE or other 13.56 MHz chip. Frequency alone is not sufficient; protocol, memory, authentication, keys and reader firmware must also match.
