A white-coated color PVC sheet is a multi-function card material consisting of a colored rigid PVC substrate and a white surface layer designed to receive printed graphics. The colored base remains visible at selected areas or along the card edge, while the white coating creates a neutral background for logos, portraits, fine text, barcodes, security patterns and brand colors.
In a laminated card structure, the printed sheet is normally combined with compatible overlays and, where required, an RFID inlay, contact-chip module area, magnetic stripe, signature panel or other functional layer. The final material combination must be tested as a complete card stack rather than evaluating the coated sheet alone.

Printing directly over a saturated colored substrate can shift CMYK values and reduce contrast. A controlled white layer creates a more neutral base, helping the printer reproduce logos, portraits, fine lines and variable card graphics more consistently.
The coating can separate the printed image from the underlying base color. Coating opacity, thickness and coverage should be approved against the actual artwork because different colors and graphic designs require different masking performance.

Base colors can be developed from a physical reference, approved laboratory sample or recognized color code. Because PVC formulation, surface finish and lighting influence visual appearance, the approved production sample should be retained as the color reference for repeat orders.
