Wallis high brightness LED lighting panel is a customized edge-lit backlighting solution designed for advertising light boxes, retail displays, menu boards, illuminated logos, exhibition graphics, art walls, elevator decoration, smart devices and OEM lighting assemblies.
The panel combines a PMMA light guide panel, precision laser dot pattern, LEDs, diffuser and reflective structure to convert light from the panel edges into a larger illuminated surface. The optical pattern is adjusted according to panel dimensions and LED positions to reduce visible hot spots, dark corners and uneven brightness.
Standard finished sizes include A0, A1, A2, A3, A4, B1, B2 and B3, with assembled thickness options of 7mm, 8mm, 9mm and 10mm. LEDs are positioned along one or more processed edges of the PMMA light guide panel. A smooth and properly aligned input edge helps couple LED light into the acrylic with lower optical loss.
Light travels through the acrylic by internal reflection. Without a controlled extraction pattern, brightness would normally be concentrated near the LED edges and decrease across the panel.
Laser-processed dots interrupt the internal light path and redirect controlled portions of light toward the visible surface. Dot size, depth, spacing and density can be adjusted according to distance from the LED source.

LED temperature directly affects luminous output, color stability and service life. The final panel or housing should provide sufficient heat dissipation and should not trap excessive heat around the LED strips.
Aluminum LED channels or frames can help conduct heat away from the LED PCB. The profile should be selected according to LED power, operating time and ambient temperature.
