What Is Anti-Sticky Matte Printable PVC Sheet?

Anti-sticky matte printable PVC sheet is a rigid or semi-rigid polyvinyl chloride substrate designed for printing and converting applications that require a non-glossy surface, controlled handling performance and resistance to ordinary moisture.

The term anti-sticky in this product context refers primarily to an anti-blocking surface. When plastic sheets are stacked under pressure, heat or prolonged storage, smooth surfaces may have a tendency to cling together. A matte anti-blocking surface helps improve sheet separation and handling during printing, feeding, cutting and other production operations.

Inkjet Printing

Laser or Dry-Toner Printing

How to Choose the Right Printable PVC Sheet

1. Confirm the Printing Method

Start by identifying whether the PVC will be printed by aqueous inkjet, UV inkjet, laser / dry toner, screen printing or another process. Surface treatment should be selected according to the printing technology rather than assuming one grade works for every printer.

2. Provide the Exact Printer Model

Printer feed paths, maximum media thickness, ink systems, curing methods and temperature conditions vary. Providing the exact brand and model helps determine whether the selected thickness and surface are suitable.

3. Select the Appropriate Thickness

Printable PVC for Vacuum Forming & Thermoforming

Wallis PVC sheets can also be supplied for vacuum forming, thermoforming and die-cutting applications. If the sheet will be printed before forming, the printing system and ink must tolerate the deformation and temperature involved in the forming process.

Print Before Forming

Printing before thermoforming can allow graphics to become part of the finished formed product. However, ink stretch, color change, cracking and adhesion should be tested at the expected forming depth.

Thickness Selection
